Manchester City is in the Champions League Semi-finals for the first time in their club's history. The "citizens" qualified with a 1-0 win against PSG in the second leg after drawing 2-2 in Paris in the first match. The goal for the home side was scored by De Bruyne in the 76th minute.

After the 2-2 draw in Paris, City were the favorites to progress before tonight's match. The two away goals meant City would progress with a win or 1-1 draw as a 2-2 draw would send the game to extra time and a loss or greater than 3-3 draw would see PSG through. City looked better throughout the game and were awarded a penalty in the 28th minute when Aguero was brought down by PSG's keeper Trapp. However, the Argentinian forward was unable to convert leaving the scores level at 0-0 going into the break. The visitors pressed in the second half, but 15 minutes before the end De Bruyne sent the home fans into celebration with a brilliant right footed strike to open the score. PSG could not respond, needing two goals to progress, sending City through to the Champions League Semi-finals. PSG is eliminated in the quarter-finals for the 4th straight season while City will play in the semi-finals for the first time in their history.
