Panionios Gets License

Panionios has been granted a license from the Hellenic Football Federation (EPO) and will compete in the SuperLeague Playoffs. The Appeals Commission overturned the Licensing Commission's decision, granting Panionios the license. This is justice for the Kyanerythri who had a great season and finished 5th in the SuperLeague.

The license not only allows Panionios to compete in the playoffs but also gives them the freedom to make summer transfers and contract renewals. Panionios will also play in next season's UEFA competitions, as long as Atromitos does not win the Greek Cup. If Atromitos were to win the Greek Cup, Panionios will need to finish, at best, third in the post-season to play in Europe next year.  On the other hand, 6th placed PAS Giannina will go to UEFA after Panionios was granted the license. The Epirotes would have taken Panionios' place in the playoffs if their licensure appeal were rejected.
