Greece Schedules Friendly with Netherlands

Greece has scheduled a friendly match with the Netherlands for September 1st in Amsterdam. The friendly will be used to help Greece's preparations for FIFA World Cup Qualifying.

Greece will be put the test against the Netherlands, one month before they begin their 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying Campaign. The game will take place on September 1st in Amsterdam. Being that the Netherlands are a world powerhouse in international soccer,  it will be a tough, but good test for Greece as they make their final preparations for qualifying. Greece's first qualifying match will take place on October 7th at home against Cyprus. A reminder, the Greeks have a bye during the first matchday of Group H qualifying (September 6th). Instead, on that date they will play their final friendly match, before qualifiers begin, against World Cup hosts, Russia. Despite a poor showing in Euro 2016 Qualifying, Greek National Team coach, Michael Skibbe, has made it know that Greece has only one goal from qualifying. That is, to secure a place at the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
