PAOK booked their place to the Greek Cup quarter-finals after their 4-1 victory over Panetolikos in their second leg match. The hosts scored two goals in each half before Panetolikos found a late consolation goal.

PAOK made it known that their number one goal for the season is to win the Greek Cup. The Dikefalos tou Vora cruised into the competition's quarterfinals after their 4-1 victory over Panetolikos in Thessaloniki.

The Dikefalos tou Vora had a 2-0 lead on aggregate after their first encounter in Agrinio and simply needed to finish the job at home. Coach Vladan Ivic made many changes to the starting eleven by giving playing time to many of PAOK’s youngsters.

PAOK was efficient on the attack by converting many of their opportunities to goals, scoring twice in each half. Deligiannidis, who had a great game, opened the scoring for the hosts in the 42nd minute and Biseswar quickly doubled PAOK’s lead only a minute later, taking advantage of a mistake in Panetolikos’ backline.

In the second half, Shakhov made it 3-0 with his rebound goal and an emphatic night was capped off when PAOK’s new signing, Aleksander Prijovic, scored on his debut to making it 4-0 from the penalty spot. The visitors simply added a late consolation goal through Paulo in second half stoppage time as Panetolikos were defeated 4-1 on the night and 6-1 on aggregate.

The Thessaloniki club are the second team to book their place in the quarterfinals (along with Asteras Tripolis) and will find out their opponents in the quarterfinals during tomorrow’s draw.
