Vassilis Spanoulis broke the 3000 point mark in the Euroleague competition, scoring 17 points in Olympiacos’ 90-66 victory over Anadolu Efes. The Erythrolefki bounced back after their defeat to Real Madrid in the Euroleague opener by coming away with an easy, blowout victory over the Turkish club.
Olympiacos took control of the game early on with their lead reaching up to 19-points in the first half and a late push from Efes cut Olympiacos’ lead to 8 at halftime. Olympiacos kept a 9-point lead at the end of the third quarter and an 8-0 run at the beginning of the fourth quarter re-gave Olympiacos a comfortable double digit, 17-point lead. In the final minutes, Olympiacos continued to increase their lead, recording another blowout victory, 90-66, after thrashing Panathinaikos on Monday in the Greek basket League.
The leading scorer of Olympiacos was the man of the night, Vassilis Spanoulis, who put up 17 points and 9 assists. With today’s 17-points, Spanoulis broke the 3000 point mark in the Euroleague competition. Printezis followed with 15 points and Lojeski had 14 points for the Erythrolefki.
