Erick Green saved Olympiacos from falling victim to the biggest upset of the Greek Basket League season as the Erythrolefki came away with a 94-95 victory away to Doxa Lefkadas. Olympiacos was down 5 points with just over a minute remaining but Green’s last minute 3-pointers (the winner with 1.3 seconds remaining) proved decisive. AEK went 3 for 3 in the Basket League after another blowout victory, this time against newly promoted side Kymi.
After a quite even first half where Olympiacos only took a 7-point lead into halftime, it seemed as if Olympiacos put the game away as their lead increased to 16-points by the end of the third quarter. A surprising 11-0 run in the fourth quarter saw Doxa Lefkadas back in the game and with 4 minutes remaining, Doxa Lefkadas was level at 85-85. Olympiacos’ horrendous fourth quarter continued with missed shots and Doxa Lefkadas was only 1:22 away from a HUGE upset, leading 94-89! However, it was Erick Green who saved the day for the Greek Champions hitting two clutch 3-pointers in the end (the winner with only 1.3 seconds remaining) to give Olympiacos a 94-95 victory. In addition to the hero Green (13 points), Spanoulis led Olympiacos with 19 points and Lojeski followed with 16 points. Video of the final minutes can be found here...

Dixon was once again AEK’s leading scorer with 19 points.
