Panathinaikos put on a great all-around performance against Kymi and easily moved to 3-1 in the Greek Basket League with a 92-52 victory at the OAKA Nick Galis Stadium.
Panathinaikos quickly went ahead by double digits by the end of the first quarter and the lead nearly tripled by halftime. With Panathinaikos holding onto their comfortable advantage they went on to defeat Kymi 92-52. Panathinaikos had pace on the offensive end and their defense allowed little space to Kymi, which is exactly what Xavi Pascual wants from his players as he begins to implement his tactics as the new boss. Today’s match was a good warmup before Panathinaikos travels to Turkey to face Anadolu Efes in the Euroleague.
Pappas was the leading scorer for the Trifylli with 13 points and both Bourousis and Calathes followed with 12 points. Bochoridis was just shy of a double-double- scoring 9-points and getting 9 rebounds for the hosts.
