UEFA U-19 EURO 2017 QUALIFYING - QUALIFYING ROUND
|Greece U19||5 - 0||Luxembourg U19|
|Limnios 2', 21'

The Greek U19 National Team defeated Luxembourg 5-0 in their second qualifier for Euro 2017 and moved up to 6 points in the group. However, after Wales' victory against England, the Greek team has not mathematically clinched their place in the Elite Qualifying Round. Greece went ahead by 3 goals in the opening 20 minutes and added two more in the second half.
After defeating Wales on Friday, Greece knew a victory over Luxembourg would put them in complete control to progress to the next round of qualifying for Euro 2017. It did not take long for the Galanolefki to find the back of the net as Limnios opened the scoring in the 2nd minute. By the 15-minute mark, Mingos doubled Greece's lead and 6 minutes later, Limnios scored his second to give Greece a 3-0 advantage.
Greece comfortably held their 3-goal lead into halftime and in the second half, Pavlidis added two goals within 7 minutes (66' and 73') as Greece emphatically defeated Luxembourg 5-0.
The win puts Greece on 6-points in the group, however they have not mathematically secured their place in the next qualifying round. Wales' victory over England keeps all three teams alive as the two teams from the United Kingdom are tied with 3-points each. For Greece to remain out, they will need to lose to England on Tuesday by at least 3-goals and Wales will need to win by 4 goals or more against Luxembourg. Greece's 7-0 goal differential after two games makes them the clear favorites to advance and claim one of the two top spots in the group, which leads to a place in the Elite Qualifying round.
