Michael Skibbe has announced the 22-men roster for Greece’s upcoming matches, including a friendly against Belarus and a crucial World Cup qualifier against Bosnia on November 13th. Michael Skibbe announced the 22-men roster for Greece’s upcoming matches in November which include a friendly against Belarus on November 9th and a crucial qualifier against Bosnia on November 13th. Both matches will be held at the Karaiskaki Stadium in Piraeus. Skibbe stayed true to his “closed-club” philosophy as the roster houses no surprises.
Skibbe’s call-ups see the return of Andreas Samaris, who missed both qualifiers in October against Cyprus and Estonia, but does not include Kostas Manolas. The 25-year old defender sustained an injury with Roma and recently had nose surgery making him unavailable for the National Team. Jose Holebas was also not called up after putting an early end to his international career. Additionally, Giorgos Tzavellas recently returned from injury for PAOK and was included in the roster while both Giannis Maniatis and Alexandros Tziolis, who remain “outsiders” for their respective clubs, were also chosen by Michael Skibbe.
