|6-Nov-16||OFI||2 - 2||Kalloni|
The two clubs favored to gain promotion to next year’s Superleague, Aris and OFI, remained winless after their second match in this year’s Greek Football League. Aris scored in the final minute of second half stoppage time to draw Aiginiakos 1-1 while OFI conceded two minutes from normal regulation to draw Kalloni 2-2 in Crete.
Aris, who before the start of the season was thought to be one of the clear favorites to gain promotion to next year’s Superleague, drew Aiginiakos 1-1 at the Kleanthis Vikelidis Stadium. The visitors, who were promoted last year from the third division, surprised the home supporters when they took the lead in the 87th minute through Giazitzoglou. However, Aris “saved” themselves from an embarrassing defeat as the hosts were awarded a penalty late in stoppage time and Andreas Tatos converted from the spot to give Aris a point from today’s match. This is Aris’ second consecutive draw in the Football league as they sit on two points after two games along with Aiginiakos. Highlights can be found here...
OFI took the lead twice against Kalloni but was unable to come up with the 3 points as they played to a 2-2 draw. Ostojic opened the scoring for the hosts in the 28th minute with a header and Frangos equalized in the 68th minute after a tragic mistake from Dermitzakis (the ball went through his hands and into the net). Eight minutes later, Ogboe gave OFI the lead for a second time in the match before Lambrakakis’ direct free-kick found the back of the net to give Kalloni a point in Crete. The home supporters showed their frustration with their side after OFI drew their second consecutive match in this year’s Football League.
