Aris recorded their fourth straight victory in the Football League after a dramatic 3-2 win over Trikala. Panthrakikos and Kissamikos were victorious over Panelefsiniakos and Anagennisi Karditsas while Sparti/Kalloni and Panegialios/Acharnaikos earned a point from their matches.

Aris and Trikala produced the most entertaining game of the day in the Football League, with Aris prevailing 3-2. After a first half with minimal chances for either side, Trikala opened the scoring in the 49th minute with Kouskounas, but Aris quickly responded with Bargan’s goal four minutes later. Ilic completed the comeback for Aris with his goal in the 62nd minute before Giannitsanis brought Trikala level in the 71st minute. Eight minutes from time, Aris’ Serbian midfielder once again came through for his side to score the winning goal, sending the Kitrinomavri to the top of the standings. The team from Thessaloniki has now recorded four straight victories in league play after a slow start to the season. Trikala, who have hopes for promotion, now trail the leaders by seven points. Kalloni celebrated their second point on the road after a 1-1 draw against Sparti. The hosts opened the scoring with Anastasakos in the 31st minute and ten minutes later, Frangos brought Kalloni level. Sparti played most of the second half a man down after Kartsambas was sent off with a second yellow card in the 56th minute. Kalloni sit in the relegation zone with three points while Sparti moved up to 10 points from six matches.

Kissamikos came away with a big 0-1 victory on the road against Anagennisi Karditsas. The only goal of the game was a controversial one as the visitors ignored the “fair play” and Theos had an easy task to open the scoring in the 18th minute. After the match, the two clubs released statements attacking one another. The win puts Kissamikos on seven points while Anagennisi Karditsa sit on six points. The goal can be seen here...

Panthrakikos earned their second victory of the season by defeating Panelefsiniakos 1-0 in Komotini. Zygeridis scored the only goal of the game in the 60th minute. The visitors finished the match with 10-men after Stamatakis was sent off in the 78th minute as they continue to sit at the bottom of the standings with six losses from six matches. Panthrakikos moved up to eight points with today’s victory. 

In Aigio, Panegialios and Acharnaikos played to a goalless draw with the visitors creating the better chances in the 90 minutes of play. The draw keeps Panegialios one point clear of the drop zone while Acharnaikos sit in fourth with 11 points.
