Panathinaikos hosted Galatasaray in the 11th round of the Euroleague hoping to put behind them last week's loss to Barcelona. The Trifylli not only recorded a win against the Turkish side, but put on one of their better showings of the season.

Panathinaikos got off to a great start and inside the first quarter their lead increased to double digits (20-10). In the second quarter, Galatasaray brought the game within one point (26-25), but the hosts regained a comfortable advantage going into halftime (39-31).

Led by an explosive attack, the Prasini sealed their victory in the third quarter where they outscored their opponents 25-14, taking a 64-45 lead into the final 10 minutes. Panathinaikos did not let up in the fourth quarter as they continued to increase their lead and went on to win the match with an emphatic scoreline, 85-58.

Four Panathinaikos players finished the game with double digit points including, Calathes, James, Rivers, and Singleton. Gabriel was also a pleasant surprise on the court, showing that he will be a great addition to the roster once he is fully settled.

The win brings Panathinaikos' record to 6-5 after 11 games while Galatasaray remain near the bottom of the table win a 3-8 record. Next week Panathinaikos will have a very difficult test against Galatasaray’s big rivals, Fenerbahce, at the OAKA Nick Galis Stadium.
