- Two More Signings For PAOK -
PAOK completed two more signings in the 2016 summer transfer window. Both Diego Biseswar and Jose Angel Crespo will wear the black and white jersey for the next three seasons. After today’s signings, PAOK will take a break from summer transfers as they have completed the necessary moves for next season.
Biseswar is a 26-year old Dutch midfielder that has played most of his career at Feyenoord (2005-2012). His contract with Feyenoord expired in 2012 and he made a move to Turkey to play with Kayserispor. He remained with the Turkish club until this summer registering 118 appearances with 18 goals. Today, PAOK announced that Biseswar signed a 3-year deal with the club. The Dutch player has also made appearances with all the youth national teams of Holland and has been called up to the Men's National B Team on multiple occasions.
Jose Angel Crespo is a 29-year old Spanish defender. He began his career at Sevilla and played there until 2010 (the final year he was on loan to Racing Santander). He then went to Italy (Serie B) in 2010, with Pandova, and one year later he signed with Bologna in the Italian First Division. During his four year stay at Bologna he was loaned off twice and in 2014 he made a move back to Spain with Cordoba, before transferring to the English Premier League (Aston Villa) that same season. Midway through last season, he was loaned out to Rayo Vallecano before coming to PAOK and signing a 3-year deal with the Thessalonikiotes. Crespo is coming off a season with 1 appearance for Aston Villa and 9 appearances with Rayo Vallecano.
Additionally, PAOK announced the parting of ways with Eyal Golasa. The Israeli International came to PAOK in 2014, making 35 appearances in his 2 years in Thessaloniki.
After today’s signings, Vladan Ivic will now have most of his players for pre-season training. PAOK will not be rushed to sign new players, although they are looking at more additions to the roster before the summer transfer window closes. According to LiveSport, PAOK will complete three more signings, a goalkeeper, defensive midfielder, and a striker.
