Greek coach, Dimitris Itoudis, was named the Euroleague Coach of the Year after winning this season’s competition with CSKA Moscow. Georgios Bartzokas finished in second place for this year’s honor.

Another great distinction for Greek Basketball as Dimitris Itoudis was named the Euroleague coach of the year. The former assistant coach at Panathinaikos, and current CSKA Moscow coach, led the Russian side to their first Euroleague Title since 2008. Itoudis became the first Greek coach to lead a non-Greek team to the Euroleague Title. After receiving the honor, Itoudis tweeted "Recognition by fellow head coaches is the biggest honor. It reflects the hard work of players, coaches, staff and CSKA organization. Thank you."

Former Olympiacos coach, Georgios Bartzokas, finished in 2nd place for the honor. He led his side, Lokomotiv Kuban, to the Euroleague Final-4 for the first time in the club’s history. Bartzokas was the first Greek coach to be named Euroleague Coach of the Year after Olympiacos won the Euroleague Title in 2013.

Obradovic finished in 3rd, taking Fenerbahce to the Euroleague Final and Perasovic claimed 4th place for leading Laboral Kutxa to the Final-4.
