Another medal for Greece at the Paralympics! This time, Dimitris Senikidis won the silver medal in the Men’s shot put F20 category. Stratos Nikolaidis just missed out on the bronze medal.

With a throw of 16.17 meters in the Men’s Shot Put F20 event at the Rio Paralympics, Dimitris Senikidis won the silver medal. It is Greece’s first silver at the games and the 5th overall (2 golds and 2 bronze). The Greek athlete put on a tremendous performance losing out to Mouhamet Zolkefli who set a new world record of 16.84 meters to win gold.

Stratos Nikolaidis also competed in the event and just missed out on the bronze medal. Nikolaidis was in 3rd place with a throw of 15.69 meters, but Todd Hodgetts’ (Australia) final attempt surpassed Nikolaidis with 15.82 meters to win bronze.
