Today’s match was a “must win” against the bottom placed team in the group before Greece’s final matches against the group leaders Belgium and third-placed Ukraine, who is Greece’s main opponent for second place. First place in the group will lead to an automatic place in the Eurovolley Final Tournament while second place leads to a playoff for a spot in the European Championships. At minimum, Greece will look to finish in second place in Pool C to clinch a spot in the playoffs.
