The Greek National Water Polo Team earned their second straight victory in the World League, defeating France 16-7. Greece scored seven goals from seven “extra man” opportunities. Gounas led the Galanolefki with 5 goals.

Greece came away with a rather easy victory over the group’s weakest team, France, recording their second straight win in World League group play. France only kept up for one period (4-3) before the Galanolefki took control of the game in the second period, increasing their advantage to 4 goals by halftime (8-4). The Ethniki continued to dominate in the second half and in the end, celebrated a 16-7 victory.

The National Team took full advantage of their extra man opportunities, scoring seven goals from seven attempts. Alexandros Gounas led Greece with 5 goals.

In the other group match, Croatia blew-out the Netherlands 18-7 as they continue to lead the group with three wins from three games. Greece sit in second with 6 points from three games.
