-- BACK TO BACK COMEBACK WINS FOR ASTERAS--
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 11
|Asteras Tripolis||4 - 1||Panetolikos|
|Stanisavljevic 38', 49'
Asteras Tripolis recorded a second comeback win on the bounce on Sunday in their previously postponed fixture from Matchday 11, thumping Panaitolikos in an entertaining affair at the Theodoros Kolokotronis Stadium.
Just like their last match against AEK, the Arcadians did not start well as they fell behind to a ninth-minute strike from Panaitolikos’ Argentine midfielder Fabián Muñoz. However, as with the performance against the Kitrinomavri, Dimitrios Eleftheropoulos’s side rallied and turned the game around with two goals in four minutes just before half-time.
Aleksandar Stanisavljević equalized on 38 minutes from close range, before Argentinian midfielder Pablo Mazza slotted home from the penalty spot three minutes before the break to leave the visitors stunned. Stanisavljević added a second tap-in four minutes after halftime for the Arcandians, while Stavros Tsoukalas completed the rout with a superb long range strike which left Simitris Kyriakidis flapping at fresh air.
The win lifted Asteras above Panaitolikos into 10th place, just two points behind PAOK with 18 points after 15 matches.
