-- Conde Steals a Point for PAS Giannina At Peristeri --
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 18
|Atromitos||1 - 1||PAS Giannina|
|Le Tallec 60'||Conde 90'+5'|
Atromitos and PAS Giannina’s SuperLeague clash in Peristeri ended all square on Sunday in a match which summed up the mid table mediocrity of both teams. Le Tallec gave Atromitos the lead before Conde’s goal in second half stoppage time gave PAS Giannina a point from today’s match.
Atromitos, who have not picked up a three-point haul since an epic 4-3 win over PAOK at the Toumba back in November, for once looked full of confidence and attacking football, pressing the visitors from the first whistle.
Former Liverpool striker Anthony Le Tallec was a threatening presence throughout for Atromitos, smashing a shot off the post during a first half which the hosts dominated. It came as no surprise when the French forward opened the scoring on the hour mark, turning in the rebound after visiting keeper Alexandros Paschalakis had parried Martin Tonso’s shot.
But just when the hosts looked like Giorgos Korakakis’ Atromitos would celebrate a much-needed victory, PAS’ Spanish midfielder Pedro Conde swivelled smartly in the box to score on the turn in the fourth minute of added time.
It was an agonising end to the match for the hosts, who remain in ninth spot in the table, with PAS also unmoved in seventh place.
