English Premier League club, Crystal Palace, announced the signing of Olympiacos captain Luka Milivojevic to a 3.5-year contract.
As expected, Olympiacos captain Luka Milivojevic completed his move to the English Premier League for Crystal Palace after signing his new contract with the club. Ther Serbia international signed a 3.5 year deal that will keep him in London until 2021. The players annual earning will reach up to €2 Million.
The deal between Olympiacos and Crystal Palace is a historic one as the Greek club will acquire a €14.5 Million transfer fee with the amount expected to reach up to €16 Million with bonuses (based on appearances for the club).
The deal was officially announced by Crystal Palace after the club’s 0-2 victory over Bournemouth in the English Premier League earlier today..Crystal Palace currently sit 18th in the standings (relegation zone) as they look to avoid the drop this season.
Luka Milivojevic gave a heartfelt goodbye to Olympiacos in a statement released on the club’s website. He thanked the club’s president, Vaggelis Marinakis, and the members of management for making his dreams come true to play in the English Premier League. He also thanked the fans for all the incredible moments he had in Piraeus and closed his statement by telling the fans “I am one of you all.”
Milivojevic joined Olympiacos in 2014 registering 94 appearances for the club while scoring 15 goals and giving 7 assists. His final goal for the Erythrolefki was on Sunday in Olympiacos 1-2 win away to Veria in the Superleague.
