-- Another Six Goal Victory For AEK --
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 19

AEK Athens chalked up a second successive 6-0 win in the space of a week after demolishing Veria on Sunday in an incredibly one-sided Super League Matchday 19 clash at the Olympic Stadium.
Manolo Jimenez’s team, who humiliated Levadiakos by the same scoreline in the Greek Cup in midweek, were in irresistible form again in front of their fanatical fans as three goals in the space of 13 minutes from Lazaros Christodoulopoulos (12), Vasilis Lampropoulos (15), and Petros Mantalos (25), put the hosts firmly in control.
An own goal by Veria’s Spanish defender Antonio Tomas and another strike from AEK’s Bosnia & Herzegovina defender Ognjen Vranjes then made it 5-0 at half-time as a sorry Veria outfit seemed to be heading for a defeat in double figures.
But AEK took their foot of the gas in the second half with Christodoulopoulos adding his second of the night and his team’s sixth late one to complete a rout which moved AEK up to sixth spot, but still three points behind fifth-placed Panathinaikos. Veria remain in last place of the standings.
