Apollon Smyrnis look all the more closer to promotion with their win on the road over Trikala while Lamia were victorious in the weekend’s derby against Aris.

Apollon Smyrnis seem unstoppable in the Football League as they recorded another win after defeating Trikala 0-1 on the road. Good counter-attack play from the visitors resulted in the only goal of the game, which was scored by Kassos in the 47th minute. The win puts Apollon Smyrnis five points ahead of second placed Lamia and seven points ahead of third placed Aris.

The derby of matchday 14 between Lamia and Aris went in favor to Lamia. The hosts scored the only goal of the game through an acrobatic effort from Vasilogianis in the 59th minute. Aris did, however, have a golden chance to steal a draw in the 5th minute of stoppage time, but Kapnidis’ penalty was saved by Tsenamo. The result pushed Lamia ahead of Aris into second place.

Chania recorded their third road win of the season by defeating Panelefsiniakos 1-3 in Elefsina. The visitors took a 0-3 lead with goals from Vankevai, Stamatis, and Apostolopoulos before Konstantinidis scored a consolation goal in the 72nd minute. Chania jumped into 7th place tied with Trikala while Panelefsiniakos remain low in the relegation zone.

Sparti celebrated a dramatic win on the road by defeating Acharnaikos 1-2. Sparti took the lead in the 44th minute through Katsambas and in the 59th minute, Marcelino brought Acharnaikos level from the penalty spot. However, Sparti struck last as Oikonomopoulos found the back of the net in the first minute of second half stoppage time to give Sparti the win. Spart are sixth in the standings while Acharnaikos drop to 9th.

Kalloni recorded their first win of the season in the Football league with a 2-0 victory over Kallithea. Gioukaris opened the scoring in the first half before Labrakis doubled the hosts’ lead in the 60th minute from the penalty spot. The result does keep Kalloni in the relegation zone with nine points while Kallithea continue to sit near the bottom of the table with 14 points.

Kissamikos were victorious for the first time in four matches with their 2-1 win over Panegialios. Ngwen opened the scoring for the Cretan side and nine minutes after the restart, Kritikos equalized for the visitors. Stojanov’s goal in the 65th minute was the winner as Kissamikos moved up to 11th in the standings tied with Panegialios on 16 points.

Agrotikos Asteras defeated Aiginiakos 1-0, maintaining their unbeaten run at home this season. Tegousis’ goal in the 72nd minute separated the sides at the final whistle, keeping his team in the hunt for promotion with 25 points (4th place). Aiginiakos are in the relegation zone with 11 points.

Two teams in the bottom half of the table, Panserraikos and Anagennisi Karditsas, played to a goalless draw in Serres.

OFI was awarded all three points against Panthrakikos as they sit in 5th place with 24 points.
