-- As You Were for Kerkyra and Panetolikos --
GREEK SUPERLEAGUE - MATCHDAY 22
|Kerkyra||0 - 0||Panetolikos|
Kerkyra and Panetolikos remain unmoved in 11th and 10th place respectively in the SupeLeague table after neither side managed to break the deadlock in a low-key Matchday 22 clash on Saturday.
Chances were at a premium in a rather drab encounter match between two clubs who have epitomised mid-table mediocrity in the Greek top flight this season.
The best chance to score fell to Kerkyra who won a penalty in the 37th minute when Tasos Tsokanis handled Mathieu Gomes’ cross, but Brazilian forward Thuram saw his spot-kick saved by Panaitolikos custodian Dimitris Kyriakidis.
Panaitolikos’ best glimpse of a goal came a few minutes earlier when the visitors’ Spanish midfielder Alvaro Rey had hit the post when a speculative effort took a wicked deflection off Spiros Spinoulas.
