Voula Papachristou won Greece’s second medal at the European Indoor Athletics Championships by claiming the bronze medal in the Women's Triple Jump.

With a new season best of 14.24 meters, Voula Papachristou won the bronze medal in the Women's Triple Jump at the European Indoor Athletics Championships. 

Her first two attempts registered at 14.04 meters and 14.20 meters before recording her best jump on her third attempt at 14.24 meters, which in the end gave her the bronze medal. She jumped 14.17 meters on her fourth attempt before recording fault jumps on her final two efforts.

The gold medal went to Kristin Gierisch of Germany with her jump of 14.37 meters, a new European record for this year, while the silver went to Patricia Mamona from Portugal with a new season best at 14.32 meters.

It is Greece’s second medal at the European Championships in Belgrade with Kostas Filippidis winning silver in yesterday Men’s Pole Vault event.
