Skibbe’s Final Scouting Before Making His Call-Ups
 

Michael Skibbe will be doing his final scouting this weekend before announcing Greece’s roster for their upcoming qualifier against Belgium later this month.

Michael Skibbe will be attending the big derby in Thessaloniki between PAOK/Olympiacos and also the anticipated encounter between Panionios/AEK in the Superleague as he finalizes his “scouting” trips before announcing Greece's roster for the upcoming World Cup qualifier on March 25th away to Belgium. The National Team coach has had a “full schedule” attending games throughout all of Greece and Europe scouting various Greek players.

Skibbe will likely announce Greece's roster this week with a few new faces expected to be called-up. 

In the last few weeks, Skibbe and his team have attended the following fixtures:

  • February 17: Augsburg - Leverkusen (Kostas Stafylidis)
  • February 18: Atromitos - Xanthi; Dortmund - Wolfsburg (Sokratis Papastathopoulos)
  • February 19: AEK - Olympiacos
  • February 26: AEK - Larissa; Olympiacos - Panionios
  • March 1: AEK - Platanias
  • March 2: Atromitos - Olympiacos
  • March 3: Augsburg - Wolfsburg (Kostas Stafylidis)
  • March 4: Karlsruhe - Hannover (Dimitris Diamantakos)
  • March 5: PAOK - Olympiacos
  • March 6: Panionios - AEK
