The top five teams in the Greek Football League continued with victories in matchday 19 action.

Similar to last week’s fixture, Apollon Smyrnis took all three points in second half stoppage time as Siatravanis netted home the winner in Apollon’s 1-0 victory over Sparti. Apollon are tied with Lamia atop the table, eight points ahead of third placed Aris.

Aris recorded their first win on the road in over 1.5 months to defeat Aiginiakos 0-1 with Tatos’ early goal in the 3rd minute. The win keeps Aris 8 points adrift of the league leaders Apollon Smyrnis and Lamia.

Agrotikos Asteras continued their undefeated home record with a 2-0 win over Chania. Theologou opened the scoring for the hosts with an own goal while Taianan’s penalty in the final minute of play sealed all three points for the hosts. Agrotikos Asteras sit in 5th place while Chania are middle of the table with 24 points.

Lamia continued their run for SuperLeague promotion with another win on the road as they defeated Kissamikos 1-2. The visitors opened the scoring in the 28th minute with Vasilogiannis’ penalty before Mantzis equalised for the Cretan side three minutes after the restart. The winner came in the 74th minute through Mastoukas as Lamia sit tied for first with Apollon Smyrnis, eight points clear of third placed Aris.

OFI have seemed to find their form, celebrating another victory in league play. Despite falling behind in the 24th minute, the visitors came back to defeat Kalloni 1-2 with goals from Kotsios in the 37th minute and Randy’s winner five minutes from time. OFI sit 4th in the standings but are 13 points behind the promotion places.

In other action, Panegialios defeated Kallithea 2-0 with two first half goal (Kritikos and Vouzas) while Trikala came away with an emphatic 0-3 win in Serres over Panserraikos. Acharnaikos will be disappointed with a goalless draw at home against bottom of the table Panelefsiniakos.
