Berg Becomes 5th Highest Scorer for Panathinaikos

On Saturday, Marcus Berg netted a hat-trick in Panathinaikos’ 5-0 victory over Veria and become the club’s 5th highest scorer in history.

It was a historic day for Panathinaikos’ Marcus Berg as he moved up to 5th in the club’s all-time scoring chart with his three goals against Veria on Saturday. The Sweden international has now scored 87 goals in his four years at the club surpassing Panathinaikos legend, Mimis Domazos, who scored 86 goals for the club.

Berg will now look to catch Panathinaikos’ fourth highest scorer Nikos Lymberopoulos who scored 103 times for the club. Antonis Antoniadis sits third with 132 goals, Dimitris Saravakos is second with 159 goals, while Krzysztof Warzycha is WAY ahead of the others with 290 goals in his 15-year stay with the club.

This season, Berg has scored 16 goals for the Prasini in league play and 23 in all competitions.
