A Look At This Season’s Greek SuperLeague Statistics
AGONAsport.com takes a look back at some important statistics from this year’s Greek Superleague.
On an individual level, Marcus Berg was the league’s top scorer with 22 goals, leaving behind Hamza Younés of Xanthi with 19 goals. Pedro Conde of PAS Giannina finished in third with 13 goals along with former Olympiacos player Ideye Brown, who left the club in January’s transfer window.
Marcus Berg also had the most attempts on goal with 99 shots. Far behind him were Thuram of Kerkyra with 68 and Mazza of Asteras Tripolis with 66.
Sebá was this season’s assist leader with 9 assists. Masoud of Panionios, Triadis of Xanthi, and Fortounis of Olympiacos finished tied for second with 6 assists .
Umbides of Atromitos completed the most passes with 338, followed by Asteras Tripolis’ Tsoukalas with 333 and Xanthis’ De lucas with 298 passes.
Masoud also made the “negative statistics” list finishing with the most mistakes at 228. Villafáñez followed with 222 mistakes and Nazlidis of Larissa committed 191 mistakes.
In regards to goalkeeping, Namasco of Levadiakos and Koutzavasilis of Kerkyra finished with the mosts saves at 104. Kyriakidis of Panetolikos rounded off the top 3 with 99 saves.
On a team level, Olympiacos had the best attack by scoring 57 goals. AEK followed with 54 goals and PAOK finished in third with 52 goals.
However, PAOK recorded the most shots with 422 while Olympiacos and AEK followed with 404 and 366 attempts, respectively.
In addition to goals, Olympiacos topped the assists chart with 36, whereas PAOK finished with 32 assists and AEK with 28 assists.
Veria conceded 56 goals this season, the most out of any team while both Levadiakos and Asteras Tripolis followed with 49 goals conceded.
Despite finishing 3rd in the regular season, Panathinaikos committed the most mistakes totaling 1471. Panionios were second with 1444 and Xanthi came in third with 1437 mistakes.
