AEK to host Olympiacos with fans in first derby of the season
AEK will host Olympiacos with fans in the first derby of the season in this year's Greek Superleague.
The draw for the 2017/18 Greek Cup group stages was a favorable one for the Enosis as they were drawn to play Lamia at home in their first group match. This means that AEK will serve their final game of a three match closed stadium ban in their cup fixture against Lamia and not in their matchday 5 encounter against Olympiacos in the Superleague.
A reminder that AEK will serve a three match closed stadium ban this season for the incidents that took place in last year’s Greek Cup final against PAOK in Volos. The first two matches at the OAKA in the Greek Superleague will be played without fans against Panetolikos (matchday 1) and Larissa (matchday 3), and their third and final closed stadium ban will be served against Lamia in the Greek Cup and not during matchday 5 of the Superleague against Olympiacos.
