AEK’s kits for the 2017/18 season
On Friday, AEK FC officially presented their three kits for the 2017/18 season.
The three kits include a black/yellow striped homes jersey, a gray away jersey, and an impressive and already fan-favourite black third jersey. For a third consecutive season, NIKE is the official brand of the kits.
The black/yellow striped home kit with black shorts is similar to last season’s with a few changes (a more black presence). The changes were implemented to bring back memories of the kits worn during the 2002/03 season when AEK competed in the Champions League group stages. This season, the Enosis will return to Europe’s premier club competition for the first time in 10-years with hopes of qualifying for the group stages of the competition.
AEK’s away kit will be a solid gray shirt with yellow shorts due to UEFA’s demands of having two completely different colored kits. The away and home kit were officially listed to UEFA for the upcoming European season.
AEK’s third jersey seems to be the favorite amongst fans since the unveiling. The solid black jersey, with yellow shorts, has an impressive outlining of a Dikefalo on the front side of the kit. The historic symbol of Orthodoxy and the club, makes an appearance on the jersey for the first time since the 1994/95 season.
One difference seen in all the kits is the return of AEK’s classic logo in the pocket area of the shirt, after last year’s logo on the jerseys was slightly different. The price of every shirt will be under €50.
