Apollon Smyrnis defeated Panelefsiniakos 3-0 and are now only four points away from mathematically securing their place in next year’s SuperLeague. Aris were victorious over Acharnaikos (2-0) to stay alive in this year’s promotion race.

Apollon Smyrnis had an easy night against relegation bound Panelefsiniakos, coming away with a 3-0 win over the Elefsina side. The hosts wasted no time to open the score as Albanis struck in the 5th minute. Two second half goals from Petropoulos and Siatravanis sealed the result for Apollon Smyrnis who now need only four points to mathematically clinch their place in next year’s Greek SuperLeague.

Aris stayed alive in the fight for promotion after a 2-0 win over Acharnaikos in Thessaloniki. Both goals for the hosts came in the second half with Dounis and Tatos (penalty) finding the back of the net. The result brings Aris within six points of second placed Lamia, who drew OFI yesterday, with just five games remaining. Highlights can be found here...

Aiginiakos defeated Kallithea 0-1 with a last minute goal from Rangkelof in a match classified as a “six pointer”. The result leaves Kallithea in real relegation trouble as they in 15th place (final relegation spot) five points behind 14th placed Acharnaikos. Aiginiakos jumped to 11th in the standings with 31 points and are safe for the time being.

The two Cretan sides, Chania and Kissamikos, battled it out as the two teams sit near the drop zone. The game ended in a 1-1 draw with Chania’s Doumos (68) equalizing Martinez's 56th minute goal. The result keeps both teams in the relegation talks as Kissamikos sit in 13th with 30 points while Chania have 31 points. 

In other action, Trikala’s unbelievable form continued with a 5-0 win over Kalloni. The result moves Trikala into 4th place with 61 points, five behind Aris, while Kalloni make plans for next year’s third division as they sit last in the table. Agrotikos Asteras defeated Sparti 1-2 on the road while Anagennisi Karditsa and Panegialios played to a 1-1 draw. 

Panserraikos were awarded all three points against Panthrakikos.
