One day after the heated brawl between the members of Bosnia and Greece, Bosnia coach Mehmed Bazdarevic visited Lulic in the hospital and spoke with avaz.ba stating “Lulic is doing well. He is in good spirits, despite everything that happened. Suljic should have stayed in the hospital but he discharged himself. He has a big cut on his leg. You all saw what the Greeks did yesterday. We have two players in the hospital, they destroyed us.”
In a question about how his assistant, Stefan Zili, feels about breaking two of Giannis Gianniotas’ teeth, Bazdarevic stated “How should he feel? What happened was wrong. He tried to calm the situation and the Greek player attacked him. He was acting in self defense.”
The Bosnia manager’s nonsense continued when he commented on the match saying “We were expecting the game to turn out like this and it did. Two of our players ended up in the hospital, during the whole game the Greek players were hitting us. The referee should have at least given us one penalty, but we should have also been more composed in front of goal.”
