Bosnia’s Bazdarevic: “I want to help Croatia eliminate the Greeks”
In an interview with goal.hr, Mehmed Bazdarevic proceeded with provocative comments regarding the Ethniki and stated that he will be rooting for Croatia in November.
It seems that Bosnia’s head coach Mehmed Bazdarevic has not overcome his team’s failure to qualify for the World Cup playoffs, finishing third behind Greece and Belgium in Group H. In an interview with goal.hr, the Bosnian coach announced his alliance with Croatia and stated that he will do everything in his power to help the Croatians overcome the Greeks in November to qualify for the 2018 World Cup.
“I am at Dalic’s disposal for anything he needs. Croatia must eliminate Greece and qualify for the FIFA World Cup. The difference in quality is extremely obvious between the two teams. However, I am sure that Croatia will not have an easy task in the two playoff games. We all know that the Greeks have a tight, well organized playing style and provoke with their actions on the pitch. The Croatians must be ready for this. They are a much better team and it should not even be a question whether they will qualify for the World Cup.
Greece’s game is based on one-on-one matchups that can reach a point of... fanaticism. Real soccer fans do not like this style of play. Greece plays defensively for the full 90 minutes and look for a chance to score while wearing off their opponents both physically and mentally.”
Bazdarevic concluded his interview by pledging his allegiance to Croatia stating “Croatia has my absolute support and I am at Dalic’s disposal for any help he needs to eliminate the Greeks.”
