Cabezas to arrive with Luciano in Greece
Panathinaikos are close to completing two more signings as Bryan Cabezas will join Luciano in Greece on Friday to sign a deal with the Prasini.
After agreeing to terms with Luciano and Corinthians, Panathinaikos have closed in on another player to enhance their attacking line with Bryan Cabezas. The 20-year old winger will sign a one year loan deal with Panathinaikos from Italian club Atalanta.
Cabezas began his career in Ecuador with Independiente del Valle where he made 68 appearances with four goals in his four year stay with the club. Last season, at the age of 19, he made a move to Europe for Atalanta, but saw little playing time with the club.
Both Luciano and Cabezas will arrive in Athens on Friday and undergo the necessary medical tests before signing their new contracts. The two are expected to be given a spot in the starting lineup by Ouzounidis, providing much needed enhancements in the roster’s attacking line.
Panathinaikos will likely move to sign an additional strike and winger in the coming days as UEFA Europa League qualifying matches kick off in just over 10 days. Former Asteras Tripolis striker Apostolos Giannou has been a consistent name in the Panathinaikos reports since the beginning of the summer and according to gazzetta.gr, could very well be the next Panathinaikos signing.
