Christodoulopoulos’ rocket free-kick clocked in at 100 km/hr
On Sunday, Lazaros Christodoulopoulos scored an absolute beauty of a free kick against Olympiacos, a shot that clocked in at 100 km/hr.
Lazaros Christodoulopoulos led AEK to a historic comeback over Olympiacos in Sunday’s Superleague derby at the OAKA stadium. The Enosis fell behind 0-2 early in the second half before two goals from Christodoulopoulos and a late winner from Mantalos gave AEK the important victory, putting them five points clear of the Erythrolefki in the Superleague standings.
Christodoulopoulos’ second goal of the night was an absolute rocket of a free kick from 31 meters out, which left Olympiacos goalkeeper Stefanos Kapino still in his place as the ball traveled into the top corner of the net. The stellar free-kick, which Cristiano Ronaldo would have been proud of, clocked in at an astonishing 100 km/hr according to “Nova.”
Lazaros’ free kick will surely be a contender for goal of the season as the Greek player is in some of the best form of his career.
