Uros Cosic arrived in Greece late Sunday night to complete his move to AEK. The Kitrinomavri have put their foot on the gas in the signings department only recently bringing Marko Livaja to the club from Las Palmas. The Serbian stopper will sign a 4-year deal with the Enosis after he undergoes the necessary medical tests on Monday.
Cosic signed his first professional contract in 2009 with CSKA Moscow where he remained until 2011 and was then loaned out to Crvena Zvezda and Pescara before making a permanent move to Pescara. Although Cosic’s parent club was CSKA Moscow from 2009-2013 he never made an appearance for the Russian side.
He stayed at Pescara from 2013-2015 (loaned to Frosinone in 2015) and then signed with Empoli where he remained the last two seasons. After suffering a serious injury in the 2015/16 season, last year he made 14 appearances in the Italian top flight. In his career, he has played in 43 Serie A matches and in 36 Serie B matches. He was an international with both Serbia’s U19 and U21 national teams.
AEK also seem close to another move with Arnor Traustason from Rapid Vienna. The 24-year old winger, who is a 13-time Iceland international (5 goals), has already agreed to terms with AEK and all that remains for the deal to be complete is AEK’s agreement with Rapid Vienna. Traustason has a contract with the Austrian side until 2020, but will likely join AEK on a loan deal. Last season in Austria, he made 33 appearances, scored 3 goals, and gave four assists.
