Croatian press disappointed to draw Greece in World Cup playoffs
The European playoff draw results on Tuesday left the Croatian press disappointed as Croatia were drawn to play Greece in the World Cup qualifying playoffs in November.
On Tuesday, the European playoff draw paired Croatia and Greece in the World Cup qualifying playoffs for one spot in the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. The draw results were not welcomed by the Croatian press as many news outlets in the country characterized Greece as the toughest possible opponent for their respective national team.
