Alki Oroklini hosted Enosis Neon Paralimni at the Stadio Ammochostos in Larnaca. Alki wasted little time to open the scoring. Andreas Stavrou took a free kick, and on the set piece, he found the head of Matija Spoljaric, who found the top corner, leaving little chance for Armin Gremsl to prevent the 11th minute goal. A crazy sequence happened later as Luis Carlos had a shot that was saved by Urko Pardo, Berat Sadik hit the post on the rebound, which came right to Vasilis Papafotis, who was also denied by Pardo, who then had to also stop Sadik on the rebound, keeping Alki ahead, but only briefly. In the 42nd minute, Joel Pereira played in a cross, Pardo mistimed his jump, and instead Papafotis headed the ball to Sadik, who was all too happy to tap in for the equalizer, and the halftime score was 1:1.

In the second half, Alki looked to regain the lead, and the chance to do just that came in the 67th minute, the ball was loose in the Doxa box, Stavrou found it first, whiffed on the shot, but the ball laid perfectly for Rafael Acosta to blast the ball past Gremsl and restore the Alki lead. If anything, any chances for further scoring were with Alki, Acosta hit the crossbar in the 83rd minute. Otherwise, they hung on for a 2:1 win at home to Doxa Katokopias. Alki are in their best form of the season, they’ve won 3 of their last 4 matches and are in 9th place, their best position all season. Doxa remain in 8th.

At the Tasos Markou Municipal Stadium in Paralimni, Enosis Neon Paralimni hosted Omonoia. After a couple of games with Konstantinos Panagi in net, Omonoia went back to Tomas Mejias in goal for this. Ioannis Pittas gave him an early test, but Mejias made the save. Alex Soares centered a pass for Sasa Zivec, but Boris Klaiman met him at the post to make the save, and there was no score at the half.

The gameplay remained fairly even in the second half, Dimitris Moulazimis set up Pittas, but he missed the target. Zivec set up a bicycle kick for David Ramirez, but it lacked power and Klaiman stopped it. Then Klaiman managed to stop Zivec from in close, as the stalemate persisted. Finally a breakthrough in the 77th minute, as a stunning volley off the boot of Isma Lopez eluded Klaiman, and Omonoia finally had what they were looking for. Enosis however had a response ready. In the 86th minute, a corner for the hosts, came to Eyong Enoh, and the Enosis Captain headed past Mejias for a heartbreaking equalizer from an Omonoia perspective. The match ended in a 1:1 draw. Omonoia remain 7th in the league, the danger of missing the playoffs grows with every dropped point. Enosis are in 11th.
