Dorsey’s Stock Rising Before NBA Draft
Tyler Dorsey starred in the NBA Draft Combine and after a magnificent display at the Chicago Camp, following his performances during March Madness, the 21-year old’s stock has skyrocketed for the upcoming NBA Draft.
The Greek guard accepted the honorable invitation for the NBA Draft Combine a few weeks ago and he did not disappoint. According to Aaron Torres, the shooting guard from Oregon made an impression not only with his physical stats (6’3 tall & 6’5 wingspan) but also with his abilities on the court.
On the first day of the tournament, Dorsey dished 6 assists and went 5/9 from 3-point range against top class opponents that will enter the NBA draft. Apart from his performance on the court, he made a highly positive impression in his interviews.
Dorsey’s outstanding display at the camp put all doubts aside and it would be an unwelcoming surprise if he was eventually not drafted in the NBA. Torres added “Although Dorsey might not become a star like LeBron James, he clearly understands his role on the court despite his young age.”
Dorsey’s is sure to attract the attention from the Euroleague’s “Big Boys” and has been rumored to a move to Olympiacos in the past. However, it is clear that his priority is to pursue his dream in the world’s best basketball league, the NBA.
With Dorsey's great March Madness run with Oregon and his recent display at the NBA Draft Combine, he has defied all expectations and has managed to enter the top 50 of the mock NBA drafts. Early predictions had hardly put him in the top 60. DraftExpress now ranks him as No. 50, whereas NBAdraft.net has him at No 46. In both of these predictions, the Philadelphia 76ers would draft Dorsey.
The NBA draft will be held on June 22.
