First start…First goal for Mitroglou in France
Kostas Mitroglou salvaged a point for Marseille, scoring his first goal for the club in a 3-3 draw away to Strasbourg.
Kostas Mitroglou was in Marseille’s starting line-up for the first time this year after recovering from an injury that left him out for the early part of the season. Mitroglou, who scored three goals over the international break for Greece, continued his good goalscoring form as he salvaged a point for Marseille with an 88th minute goal in a 3-3 draw away to Strasbourg.
The Greece striker fired home from close range after goalkeeper Bingourou Kamara spilled Jordan Amavi's low shot in the 88th minute. It was Mitrolgou’s first goal for his new club.
Despite Marseille’s shaky defensive line this season, Mitroglou’s club sit fourth in the French Ligue 1 standings with 17 points, eight behind the leaders Paris Saint Germain.
