Gianniotas scores for second time in two days
Giannis Gianniotas found the back of the net on Thursday for his club, Valladolid, in a 4-0 win over Alcorcon in the Spanish La Liga 2.
After scoring Greece’s fourth goal against Gibraltar on Tuesday, Giannis Gianniotas found the back of the net for a second time in two days. The Greek international was subbed on in the 86th minute in Valladoid’s La Liga 2 fixture at home to Alcorcon, and added his name to the score sheet five minutes later. The youngster did well to put himself in a goal-scoring position, before placing a left-footed shot in the corner of the net.
Like Tuesday’s World Cup qualifier, Gianniotas added his side’s fourth goal of the game as Valladolid thumped Alcorcon 4-0. Gianniotas has been in great form with his club in the Spanish second division having already scored three goals to start the season. Valladolid currently sit fourth in the La Liga 2 standings with 16 points, only trailing the leaders Osasuna by two points after nine matches.
