Goalless derby between Ionikos & Ethnikos, Iraklis remain winless (Matchday 2 Recap)

The 2017/18 Gamma Ethniki continued over the weekend despite the international break. The big derby in group 6 between Ionikos and Ethnikos ended in a goalless draw. Ionikos sit with only one point from two games while Ethnikos moved up to four points. Aspropyrgos went two for two with a 0-1 win on the road against Zeugalotiou and lead the group.
Iraklis continued their poor start in group 2 as they drew Agrotikos Asteras 0-0 and sit with only one point from two games. Almopos Aridaias and Megas Alexandros Trikalon Imathias sit atop the table with six points to start their campaigns.
In group 1, Kavala fell away to Apollon Paralimniou 2-0 while Kalamata played to a goalless draw with Paniliakos in group 5. In the same group, both Panarkadikos and PAO Vardas were defeated for a second consecutive match, falling to Asteras Amaliadas and Asteras Vlachiotis, respectively.
In group 4, both Olympiacos and Niki Volou bounced back from their matchday one defeats by recording wins over Digenis Neochoriou and Sellanon. NPS Volou moved up to six points with their 2-3 away victory over Rigas Fereos.
Aigaleo dropped their first points of the season with a goalless draw away to Atsaleniou, but sit atop of group eight with four points. Fostiras managed to grab their first points of the season with their goalless draw at home to Kifisias.
