Greece were on the board just after 10 minutes of play when a brilliant strike by AEK’s Kostas Galanopoulos found the top corner, giving Greece the early lead. The Ethniki Elpidon held their advantage into the break and five minutes after the restart, Belarus were left with 10-men when Sendko saw a second yellow.

The three points were wrapped up 11 minutes before the end when Efthimios Koulouris’ header found the mark to put Greece ahead 0-2. The scoreline remained at the final whistle, capping off an ideal start for Greece in their Euro 2019 qualifying campaign.

Greece coach, Antonis Nikopolidis, displayed Greece in a 4-2-3-1 formation with Kotsaris (GK-Panathinaikos), Saliakis (RB-Kissamikos), Evangelou (CB-Panathinaikos), Pasalidis (CB-Asteras Tripolis), Tsimikas (LB-Willem), Galanopoulos (DMF-AEK), Karachalios (DMF-Levadiakos), Androutsos (AMF-Olympiacos), Lambrou (LMF-Panionios), Manthatis (RMF-Giannina), and Koulouris (CF-PAOK)
