Antonis Nikopolidis’ Group 1 leaders, who were 4-0 winners against San Marino four days ago, got off to a perfect early start when PAOK midfielder Dimitris Limnios opened the scoring in the seventh minute, converting Giorgos Manthatis’ pass.
Olympiacos midfielder Manthatis then got on the scoresheet in the 31st minute, netting from a great pass by PAOK striker Efthymios Koulouris as Greece looked to kill the game off.
Galanopoulos was given his marching orders just four minutes into the second half after picking up a second yellow card, but that did not stop the dominant home side from scoring again shortly afterwards in the 52nd minute.
The goal came after the Greeks were awarded a penalty when Limnios was fouled by Czech defender Michal Sacek. Kououris stepped up to take the kick, which was saved by visiting keeper Jindrich Stanek. Manthatis fired the rebound off the bar but lucky for Greece Saliakas was on hand to fire the second rebound home to make it 3-0.
The Czechs enjoyed a spell of pressure in the final 15 minutes but it wa not enough to yield a goal as a strong home team completed their sixth victory of the campaign - a result which keeps Greece three points clear of Croatia at the top of the standings.
