Greeks Abroad Recap: Retsos Wins ‘Battle of the Greeks’, Goal For Vlachodimos
 

AGONAsport’s George Tsitsonis rounds up the performances of Greeks playing in other leagues in this week’s Greeks Abroad Review.

Panagiotis Retsos’ Bayer Leverkusen prevailed in a 2-0 victory over Tasos Donis’ VfB Stuttgart on Friday in one of the highlights of this weekend’s performances of Greek players abroad. Both players performed extremely well, though Retsos did have to come off due to injury. 

Elsewhere, Panagiotos Vlachodimos scored in Ligue 2 action helping Nimes to a victory. Ioannis Fetfatzidis served up an assist in Saudi Arabia as did Andreas Vasilogiannis in the Turkish second division. In the same division, Michalis Sifakis made his first appearance and picked up a shutout.

Kostas Mitroglou did not feature once again for Marseille neither did Kostas Manolas in Italy for Roma, while Sokratis Papastathopoulos’ Borussia Dortmund extended their winless run to 12 matches.
