The Greek National Deaf Basketball Team is considered one of the world’s best along with the United States, Latvia, and Russia. They have contributed great moments to the field of Greek Sports having won 6 medals since 2000 in big competitions including the European Championships (1st place, Patra 2000), the World Championships (1st place, Athens 2002) and the Deaf Olympiad (Bronze Medal, Taiwan 2009).

Despite the financial burdens that face the team, they have always represented our country at the highest level. The triumphs of the Greek National Deaf Basketball Team are not widely known to all, however no one can doubt their achievements over the years.

Their next stop is the Deaf Olympiad taking place in Sampsounta, Turkey, between July 18-30.  The National Team will give it their all to win yet another Olympic Medal and make all of us proud once again.

In order to help make that happen, the Galanolefki needs your financial support. We at AGONAsport, who supports all of our National Teams, are reaching out to you, our viewers, for financial support to help send the Greek Team to Turkey over the summer.

Donations can be made either individually or in form of a sponsorship and every little bit helps. Those interested can donate to the Greek Team’s OFFICIAL You Caring Account HERE. Please share this article as well to get the word out!

The money gathered will be used for the team’s preparations and for airfare. Thank you!
