The Greek National Volleyball Team fell 3-0 set to the Netherlands in FIVB World Championship qualifying.
The result keeps the Dutch squad undefeated after three games in qualifying while Greece fall to 2-1. The National Team defeated Moldova 3-1 in matchday 1 of qualifying before edging out a big 3-2 set win over Austria in the second qualifier.
In today’s matchday 3 fixture, the host nation of Pool B, Holland, proved to strong for Greece as the “Oranje” cruised to a 3-0 set win. The result makes Holland the clear favorites to claim top spot in the group and the automatic ticket to the FIVB World Championships.
Greece fell to fourth in the standings, tied on wins with Austria and Slovakia, and will face the later in matchday 4 needing a win to grasp a hold of second place. Second spot leads to the third qualifying round where one of the six second placed teams will earn the final ticket to the FIVB World Championships.
