Inviting news from Spain for Araujo and AEK
Inviting reports are coming out of Spain for AEK as many sources state that Sergio Araujo will not continue his career with Las Palmas.
The road to Sergio Araujo’s return to AEK from Las Palmas seems open according to reports out of Spain. Las Palmas do not have the 25-year old player in the team’s plans for the new season and the striker is expected to depart from the club. Sources go on to mention that Las Palmas have found Araujo’s successor with Inter Milan’s 20-year old striker Rey Manaj.
Along with AEK, Spanish Segunda side Real Oviedo are also interested in the player. However, Araujo has stated in the past that he would like to return to AEK and the Kitrinomavri are expected to put up a fight to bring the player back to Athens.
In other news, Hugo Almeida is expected to part ways with AEK after both fixtures against Club Brugge in Europa League qualifying. The two sides will sit down and discuss an early termination of the Portuguese striker’s contract.
As for Didac, the player appears to be close to a move to Espanyol, who have made a rather good offer to the Kitrinomavri. The two sides will likely reach a deal for Didac’s move as AEK are looking to get rid of the player due to his disappointing attitude towards the club.
