Johansson arrives in Greece to sign with Panathinaikos
Developments in the singing’s department at Panathinaikos are unfolding at a rapid pace as the club looks to enhance the roster before the end of the summer. Next up to sign is Mattias Johansson, who arrived in Greece yesterday.
The Prasini have reached an agreement with Swede Mattias Johansson, who will accompany Niklas Hult and Ousmane Coulibaly in Panathinaikos’ defensive backs positions. The 25-year old right back was a personal choice of Ouzounidis and arrived in Athens yesterday to complete his transfer to the Trifylli. Johansson has played in Holland for AZ Alkmaar for the last five seasons, making 176 appearances and scoring 6 goals.
Moreover, Panathinaikos appear to be close to a deal with Udinese’s Gabriel. According to sources, Panathinaikos have reached a deal with the left back and only a few details remain to finalize his move from Italy to Greece.
Finally, the Prasini are talking with Teemu Pukki, who is their number one target to cover the center forward position. Following Berg’s departure, the Trifylli have been in search of a player to replace their former captain and Pukki appears to be on top of the list. According to sources, Panathinaikos have reached a deal with the player while the Athenian club have offered Brondby €1.5 million for the player’s transfer, an offer that the Danish side will likely accept.
