Korakaki Wins Three Medals at ISSF World Cup
Anna Korakaki continues to impress in the sport of shooting after winning three medals at the ISSF World Cup in Munich (one gold and two bronze) and was also awarded the title of “2016 ISSF Shooter of the Year.”

After two Olympic medals in Rio, Anna Korakaki continued her good run of form at the ISSF World Cup in Munich. Despite having stated that she wants to focus more on her studies, that has not stopped her from proving yet again that she is amongst the world’s elite in the sport of shooting.
At the ISSF World Cup in Munich she managed to win three medals, one gold and two bronze, competing in three different shooting events. Both bronze medals were won over the weekend in the 25m Pistol event and 25m Air Pistol event. She saved the best for last as she was took gold on Tuesday in the 10m Air Pistol event leaving behind her the Ukrainian Olena Kostevych and Yuemei Lin from China.
Apart from starring in all three shooting events, Anna was awarded the “2016 ISSF Shooter of the Year” honor. The title was awarded by the Secretary General of the ISSF, Franz Schreiber, and vice president, Gary L. Anderson, themselves.
After receiving her award Korakaki stated “I feel great. I have been working all these years on improving my target and 2016 was an amazing season. I want to thank my family and friends who have always been supportive.”
